How do I keep my trend line but remove the underlying line graph?

I have a bucket load (literatly) of temperature data that I have charted on a line graph. There is some jitter in the readings and I would like to present the results as an averaged trend line. No problem so far, but how do I then hide the original line graph? I want to only keep the trend line.


I am runing the latest version of Numbers.

Numbers-OTHER, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Yours looks like a older version though? I'm on 3.5 and my only options for the connection line is 'straight' or 'curved'.



I'm using Numbers 3.5.2. This can be done with line charts too:


The left column is a Header Column. This is a 2D Line chart. I gave it a trend line.

Then I click on the series (not the whole chart) and, as in my screenshots, go to Style tab (not the Series tab):
