Ok to upgrade to iOS 8.1.3?

I have an old iPad 2 with iOS 6.1.3. Can I upgrade on itunes to newest version (8.1.3) to download a particular app? I have avoided upgrading to avoid the trouble I might run into but am missing out on many apps. What trouble am I going to run into? Is the upgrade worth it?

The jury is literally split on that one.

Some have upgraded with no issues, others have said that their iPads are bricks after the update.

My iPad is happily at 7.1.2 and I have no plans to upgrade.

I think it depends on how much you really want that app and if it's worth the gamble.
