Why are only half my songs showing on my iPhone 6 but when plugged into iTunes, they are all still there? I have tried a restore but that hasn't helped it.

Why are only half my songs showing on my iPhone 6 but when plugged into iTunes, they are all still there? It has been and only happened all of a sudden. I have tried a restore but that hasn't helped it.
