Why don't my photo albums sync to my iphone exactly as they appear in iphoto?

I set up an album in iphoto 9.6 and arranged the order of the photos just as I wanted them. But when I sync (itunes 12.1.0.50) to my iphone 6 (ios 8.1.3), several photos are out of order and some are replaced with photos from my elsewhere in my iphoto collection that I did not select for the album. How can I get the album to sync exactly as I set it up in iphoto?
