Cookies Identification

I understand why there are some cookies that are useful, etc.,. Thus I do not have privacy selection for cookies set to 'always'. My problem is when I look at the list of cookies, admittedly not often, there are many .names. that I don't recognize but might be perfectly valid and possibly necessary. I don't really want to copy the list and then google the names to see what the heck they are. Do I have any options other than leave alone, delete, or wait until I figure out what they are (unlikely to happen)?

I do have Firefox but it's almost automatic for me to use Safari. I seem to respond to that icon as if I were Pavlov's dog. Maybe I should just change my ways.
