Upgrade eliminates gmail log in

I recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion and also upgraded Safari from 5.1 to 6.1, Now I can no longer get to my gmail account.

It gives me an error message that the ID and/or password do not match. I logged in moments before I did the upgrade. I tried to reset the password but that didn't work. Is there a way to CALL google on a land line. ON LINE is not working. This information is VERY important.
