Mac book Pro Issue, Permissions Probably.

I was not able to save my screen shot, since it was giving me a error that file can not be saved because i do not have permissions. Then probably i made a mistake & right clicked Macintosh HD> Get info> Sharing & permissions> wheel (Changed to Read & Write ) > Clicked on small setting icon on bottom there > Apply to enclosing items ( Clicked That). Wheel i changed back to read only and did Apply to enclosing items as well. Now i can not open my Chrome & many other applications :(. I did run Disk utility (Repair permissions) but still can not run many applications. Please Help
