Has apple done a recent upgrade that affects some online transactions?

I have a mac-book pro. 10.10.2. This past week some things have stopped working correctly. One I submitted here and was able to work around. The issues:

1. Pictures with a .jpg do not work with online site. They will work if I switch to .jpeg. I use Adobe Elements for my photo editing. This saves in "jpeg" but switches the picture to .jpg which I now manually change if I want to post online.

2. Some online functions do not work on my Apple, but do work on my husbands Microsoft computer. For instance. I wanted to print a coupon from an online store. I could not use the "printer function on the site - which always worked before." It stated the program function not found, try again later. I've tried for the last 3 days. It worked on Microsoft.

Has anyone else had these problems?
