Touch ID issues

When I try to setup my touch ID it keeps saying 'Failed unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back an try again'. I have tried again many times but it's not working still. What do I do?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2

After putting in my passcode, I click on the use touch ID for iphone unlock but it still brings out the same error message

Try

Restore from backup

Restore as new

If no joy, make a genius appointment at an Apple Store.
