Can't sync my iPhone 4s contacts onto my mac book pro

Can't sync my iPhone 4s contacts onto my MacBook Pro. I've tried selecting my iPhone when in sync mode - then selecting info - but do not get the option to select "sync contacts"- as was advised on another apple support site.

Help!
