My 2012 13" iMac PRO is malfunctioning. When I turn it on, the login screen appears and it accepts my username and password. The login status bar appears and goes halfway across and then freezes. I can't get into the computer. What can I do? Thanks

Mac Pro desktops
but no iMac Pro
Try booting in Safe mode
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
and repairing the startup diosk
If y can't do that then
Try booting to Recovery and repairing the startup disk
