Facebook says I have a new notification, but when I check, there are none

I have an iPhone5s running iOS 8.1.2. I keep getting a banner notification telling me that I have a new notification on Facebook. When I open the Facebook app, I don't see any notifications. I was wondering if that is a bug on this iOS, or if there is something on my phone doing it.
