Can't get the picture to show up on Apple TV using both of my iPads. Only sound. Everything is updated and rebooted. What's the deal ?
there is no mirror button, nor is one hidden underneath anywhere.

Not all apps are enabled for airplay, this is up to the developer to do. If you want to mirror, it cannot be turned on within an app. You need to bring up control centre, select airplay and toggle ON mirroring.
Thats what we are trying to do is mirror. There is no mirror option on either ipad. Both are updated as well. You can hear sound but no picture.
If you are just getting sound, that is not mirroring, and will happen when basic airplay isn't enabled by the developer. The mirroring option is only available via control centre (see link). You will not see it anywhere else.
It gives us two options. AirDrop and AirPlay . We select AirPlay, then Apple tv. There isn't mirroring option . Both iPads are up to date . my iphone works fine, neither ipad works. Need help.
What model iPad? After selecting Apple TV have you tried scrolling down?
I ipad 2 and my sons new iPad mini , neither give us a mirroring option. Tried scrolling up, down , left right , sideways, backwards etc. I bought this for my son to play his games on AirPlay mirroring but no luck yet.
And the iPhone is giving that option? Have you tried rebooting? Reset?
thanks for your help! Yes iphone has been doing fine. I did get one iPad to do it after resetting once but it quit working. I don't really know if i should keep this thing if I have to reset it all the time. The second attempt to reset it didn't work.
No, you shouldn't have to keep resetting. Have you tried connecting ATV via Ethernet? May want to take to Apple to test too
