After updating to iOS8 Safari does not give me search suggestions even though my search engine suggestions tab is turned on. Everything worked fine with iOS7 and now it doesn't. I have an iPhone 5. Any suggestions?

It may help to rest your iPhone by holding the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo on your iPhone's screen.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

If Safari still isn't providing search suggestions, the next step would be to reinstall iOS by turning your iPhone off and holding the Home button while connecting it to your computer. When prompted, choose 'Update' to reinstall iOS 8 on your device without affecting your existing data.
- Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
- Put your device in recovery mode.
- When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
