after upgrading from an old mac mini to a new one, monitor resolution is poor/blurry using Thunderbolt ports. I've played with all the monitor settings but can't crisp it up! Using 2 Samsung SyncMaster 213T

Had you tried a mini-display port adapter, rather than the Thunderbolt port?

This series display pre-dates the Thunderbolt support, but should do OK

with a display adapter to use the regular video port out. There are more than

a few to choose from, so a VGA or HDMI or other (to fit whatever it has) is

the more likely direction to go with attaching an old model display.

The adapters were optional, unless you happened to get a server model

from 2012, in which case the DVI to HDMI was included with some. If

your old display is not DVI, then it would need VGA adapter. And some

other ideas may be required to use two displays, since one of them is

likely to need some kind of other adapter for the Thunderbolt. Cable

options may be helpful, to attach an antique Samsung to TBLt.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

Except for the Apple Thunderbolt monitor, the Thunderbolt port is used an a mini displayport for video. There is no Thunderbolt to DVI or VGA adopter., just mini displayport to XX adopters.

What monitor input are you using? The monitor
