Firewall Disconnected
My firewall disconnected somehow. I cannot get it connected, even using the diagnostics or assistance tool. Can anyone help?

What do you mean by your firewall disconnected?
Where is this firewall located?
Under Network, it says
Firewall Status: Not connected
It also shows: No network capable FireWire devices are connected.
However, under the Security settings, it show that the Firewall is ON and set up to prevent unauthorized applications, programs, and services from accepting incoming connections.
If your MBP is behind a router which has a firewall as most do, there is no need to turn on the firewall on the MBP then.
The Firewall is internal within my MacBook Pro
I know.
Disable it.
You don't need it.
Under my Network connections, there is a list of
Airport
Ethernet
Bluetooth
FireWall
Usually the AIrport light indication is Green and says ON
Usually the Firewall indication light is Green and says ON
But, my laptop recently kicked me off of everything. I initially could not even connect to the internet. The Airport connection was off and disabled too. I got that back on and then the wireless internet, but the Firewall under "Network" is still showing a red indication light and saying it is NOT CONNECTED
OK, I appreciate your help.
I am/was just worried because there were several outside unknown devices trying to get me to allow access to them.
I think I understand your response. Thank you.
