Time Machine Backups
Can I take a Time Machine Backup and use it to build out my new macbook pro
MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
You can use the Migration Assistant/Setup Assistant to transfer your data from the backup. Migrating a home folder after setting up an user account will put its data into a new one.
