Use PC Ram in Macbook Pro(mid 2012)

Hello there -

I'm in the process of upgrade my Macbook Pro to something that is going to allow me to use Photoshop/Final Cup without it running super slow. In fact, my mac runs slow on just about anything!

Down to business, I built a decent gaming PC last year and wondered if I can use the Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1066Mhz 1.5V to replace to 4GB I currently have.
Would this be compatible? I know I could go out and buy some more ram, but thought what's point if I have some sitting there doing nothing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers

MacBook Pro, iOS 8.1.3

It will help us diagnose your problem to know the exact model, size, year built, RAM installed and OS you're running.

In general bump the RAM to 8 GB and most important, install an SSD. I've done 5 so far all from OWC:

Very fast now and a total no brainer to install!

Photoshop CS6 opens in 3.4 seconds, render time is in seconds.
