Virus on keyboard or what? Automatic zeros 000000

Hi all,

Once in a day, when i used to use Mavericks, my keyboard starts to make automatic zeros like this:

00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Even when sometimes i write it appears like that:

He0ll0o, a0re yo0u f0in0e?

I've already changed to Yosemite wit a clean install and the problem remains.

Could be a virus on iMac or in the Keyboard?

Thanks for you kind help.

I had almost the exact problem yesterday - automatic dots .........................

Disconnected everything, turned off bluetooth, turned off wi-fi and plugged in a wired keyboard and mouse. All OK. Then reconnected one by one. It turns out it was plugging in the modem that was the problem Have tested each USB port and its not them, so it has to be the modem itself. I am back on wifi and bluetooth and all is still OK 24 hours later. I did not realise I could run the wifi/modem without having it plugged in (its been there 5 years) but now I no longer have any problem with the dots......................................
