Macbook air 2013 '13 inch not turning on, not charging

I was using my macbook air in the afternoon for university slides and it was charged at 97%, usually this lasts quite long however by the time I got home which was about 2 hours later I opened my laptop and the screen was completely black. I have tried holding down the power button for a couple of seconds and there is no response, it doesnt chime, nothing. I tried charging it again just in case and the charger light doesnt even turn turn orange or green, my 1 year warranty expired just over a month ago and so yeah I'm freaking out because its sudden gone dead on me and I have no idea why. Please please tell me there is a way to fix this
