When I attempt to plug in my iPad, it will not charge unless it is dead. For some odd reason, it will charge enough to turn on and then as soon as it turns on it displays in the top right corner "not charging" and then turns off a minute or two later. This process repeats itself over and over and I am completely clueless as to why it is doing this.

Few things to try
Reset your ipad. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and try again.
Swap out your charger and cable and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help and if your iPad is still under warranty you can make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. It could be your battery has reached the end of its life. May or may not be covered by the warranty, but if not, last I knew a battery replacement ran around 100 dollars.

Well I've tried both but neither seem to change.
How are you trying to charge? Via USB or plugged into the wall?
Plugged into the wall is the best and most reliable way to charge
