Hi

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) OS X Yosemite (10.10.2) with Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB.

I am connecting a mini displayport to hdmi wire to my samsung tv but when I set the display settings for the tv on 1080p 50 or 60 hertz there are white flickering dots on the tv screen. When on 1080p 30 hertz or 1080i 50 or 60 hertz they are not present. This seems to happen on multiple TVs.

What would be causing this problem and if there is a solution?

I have a Late-2013 MBP 15" retina, which has a built in HDMI port. I have this since the update to Yosemite as well. White dots on the screen, always on the same spot. It is not the TV. Both TVs in my home show on exactly the same spot the white dots and other input, using the same HDMI cable plays just perfect.
