What makes you think that your Mac has a virus infection?

Adware? Try this.

1. Use free AdwareMedic to remove adware

Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.

Once done, quit AdwareMedic.

or

Remove the adware manually by following the “HowTo” from Apple.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Turn those off and relaunch Safari.

Turn those on one by one and test.

If that is not the case:

Can you run EtreCheck and post the report here please?

It's best to describe the problem, if you have one, in as much relevant detail as possible, rather than what you think is causing it or how you think it should be solved. Running an application you've never heard of on the advice of an anonymous stranger who doesn't even know what your problem is would not be the right approach. That's how you get infected with "viruses," not how you remove them.
