After reinstalling iwork '08, a serial number is needed?
After reinstalling iwork '08, which went fine, a serial number is requested from Apple. I don't have a serial number. Nothing in iwork works.

It's on the box the DVD came in or it's on the disc.
No, I have looked on the box and on the disk. There is no serial number.
Do you have the booklet that comes in the box? My copy has an "Installing iWork '08" document with the Product Serial Number sticker on it. You need to find that.
If there is a manual in the box, then look inside for stickers with the serial number on them.
The serial number is on a sticker (there are two removable stickers on this sticker) on a separate thin booklet titled "Installing iWork '08." In the iWork '08 box is the CD, the iWork '08 book, a card with four software coupons & the thin installing booklet. As you bought it pre-installed, you won't have the box, CD or the iWork '08 book, but you will have a card or booklet about the size of a CD sleeve with the serial number on it. It is easily over looked, even in the boxed version.
I have a box, with no serial number. I have a manual, with no serial number. I have a disk, with no serial number. I don't have anything else. I will try to call Apple support again. I will also call the store where we bought it. Thanks for all the helpful advice.
