Target Display Mode iMac 21,5 inch mid 2010?

I'm using an iMac 21,5 inch mid 2010 with a mini-display port i/o. I will have to work on a new windows laptop (HP). Don't know yet the type. Is there a way to use my Mac as an external monitor?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Not without a product such as ScreenRecycler or a VNC program. All of these work over a network.
