What model iPod/iOS version?
How old is the iPod?
If you charge for at least 6 hours how long can you play a video? Abiutn 4-5 hurs seems to be the norm for used iPod
Since you posted in the Mac Pro forum, and lllaass responded about an iPod, I will take a different direction - based on your ID having laptop in it, are you talking about a MacBook Pro or Air by chance? If so, check the battery health by clicking the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power and what do you see regarding the battery Condition, Charge Capacity, Voltage, and Cycle Count?
Depending on the Mac OS X version, that sequence above may not include More Info and may let you go directly to the System Report.
