Launchpad icons stuck on desktop

Running Yosemite (10.10.2) on a MBP Retina 15" 2013 with 16gb Ram.

Its been happening consistently now where I would go to Launchpad, search for an app and click on the app. The clicked app would then stay on screen. So now I have a floating, non-interactive icon of the app superimposed over all my windows and apps. Restarting OS X will get rid of it but that's a pain every time it happens.

I had the same issue a couple of times. I found launching Launchpad and slightly dragging any icon refreshed the icons and got rid of the stuck one.
