I cannot copy or sync any songs/ albums to my ipod touch 64gb. Have no problem with my ipad and iphone.

Tried both methods you have mentioned previous many times without success - to answer your questions

Nothing is copied

Does iTunes see the iPod?

Yes

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?

No

Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?

Yes - just once when I first got it

If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?

Yes computer os has been updated, I think

Do the songs play in iTunes?

Yes, on my computer and on my ipad and phone

Does any media now sync to the iPod?

Yes, synced my iPhone first, this morning

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Tried every combination imaginable, including the settings that I had when syncing my iPhone this morning.

Hope this helps - it's a real pain.

Only trouble is I have deleted all the music that was on the ipod, so there's nothing to backup.

I've just tried this but this doesn't work either. Maybe there's something wrong with the ipod itself? Nothing seems to work.

Incidentally, when I look at the content of my ipod via the computer it shows the songs that have been synced but they are ghosted out.

I decided to reset everything and start from scratch - it's worked, thanks for your help.
