I erased my iMac hard drive. Now I need to install Mac OS X Lion again but I need apple-ID. I didn't have one but created one online on my phone(BB) but now it says my apple-ID hasn't been used on the App store. What do I do now?

I erased my iMac hard drive to remove the previous owner's information. Now I need to install Mac OS X Lion again but I need apple-ID. I didn't have one as this is the first apple device I own. I created one online on my phone(Blackberry) but now it says my apple-ID hasn't been used on the App store. What do I do now?

If YOU have never purchased Lion you'll need to do that. The copy of the OS that was on the computer you bought was attached to the previous owners Apple ID. Now the bad part....in order to get Lion you're first going to need to have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 which will give you access to the Mac App Store and is the only place you can get Lion. Purchase a Snow Leopard retail disc here http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopardk update to 10.6.8 through software update then you can purchase Lion here http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion
