Playlists disappeared from my iphone 5S ver. 8.1. but are still in itunes 12.1 library on MacBook Pro Ver 10.9.5

My playlists disappeared from my iphone 5S ver. 8.1. but are still in itunes 12.1 library on MacBook Pro Ver 10.9.5. My songs still appear in Music but none of the playlists. I had to change my AppleID password and when I did this ICloud came on. I then had to log in to it repeatedly. I don't know if this had anything to do with it.
