HDMI TO VGA DOESN'T WORK

In school we have a VGA Beamer and so someone of my school class bought a HDMI to VGA Adapter. We share it and it works on all the Windows laptops but it doesn't work on my Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2014. But when I have opened the PowerPoint Program and the Adapter is plugged in the program recognizes that there is a beamer because a timer appears. But the beamer doesn't show up anything !

Hello michioco,

It sounds like the resolution needs to be change for the projector. To that, go to System Preferences > Displays and you will see an option to change the resolution. Look for a button that says Gather Windows to bring the settings for the other display and then change the resolution for the projector to finally show an image. The articles below will explain further if you need it.
