IR universal dock with lighting adapter and iphone 5c

hello everybody, I own an ipod touch 4g and the IR universal dock so I can control it with the apple remote, but now I have the iphone 5c and the ipad mini 2 and I wonder if it's possible to control them with the dock and apple remote using the lighting adapter.
