stop dragging and dropping border outlines

When using the new Numbers for mac, if I put some border outlines in my spreadsheet, and I then want to drag and drop cells in my spreadsheet somewhere else, is there anyway to stop it also dragging and dropping the border outlines? This didn't happen in the previous version... Please help.
