Does anyone have this problem with their 2013 MacPro. When surfing the web with multiple tabs open, the screens will all of a sudden fill with black and white vertical lines. I need to unplug the computer and reboot

Is this a Mac Pro or a MacBook Pro? The latter is a notebook computer. The former is a cylinder that looks like an ash can.
this is a MacPro, not a Macbook Pro.
Could be the GPUs. Could be a problem with Yosemite. Backup everything then do a clean installation of just Yosemite. See if the problem persists. If it does then take it in for repair.

Monitor model? you might be surprised but that is or can be an issue.
which Thunderbolt port?
which type of interface? HDMI etc.
Are you using 4k display?
Tried using stock or alternate cable?

There are a lot of thread dealing with monitors and displays on the nMP but darn if I can "pull them up" by search for 4k display (search return "empty" - thanks Apple!)
