Q: My wife does not get her email. But I get mine.

Background is that a few days ago I switched to Firefox as default browser. Result - I got my email but my wife does not get hers. Switched back to Safari and now my mail remains OK but my wife's email still does not. But now if I search for her email it all appears in her mailbox, but if I go to another mailbox and then back to hers, it does not appear. Mail on our iPad has the same problem. Before switching back to Safari even searching would not find my wife's email. How do we get her email without having to search for it?

This may help: If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support

That document primarily addresses the Mac's Mail.app. If she can't receive email on any of her devices, even using a web interface, the problem lies with the email service she's using. In other words if it's Yahoo! Mail then go to their site for troubleshooting instructions. It ought not to be related to the particular browser you're using.

John,
Thanx for your help.
Have been to Apple trouble shooting at Apple support to no avail.
At Apple settings lookup I got
I don't see any problem there.
Have sent my wife many test emails. Search finds them, but they don't appear otherwise.

Is the problem strictly related to Mail.app?

On a Mac, can she log in to and use iCloud.com to retrieve her email?

Problem was only in mail app. It existed in the same manner on the Cloud.
However, mail app somehow created a new mailbox with my wife's normal address in "On My Mac." That new mailbox gets everything. Your response helped me stay on the problem. Thank you again.
