Why are half the songs from a Dixie Chicks CD damaged even though it was bought from Apple

"Taking the long way" Half of the songs on this CD are missing from 15 to 50 seconds from the end??

Even doing a get-info on the song lists the correct length - the song terminates with 15 to 50 seconds from the end.

It was downloaded 1/4/2013.

It was not damaged when I downloaded that CD.

This is just an example of many items of music that have been damaged.

It is also happening with imports - lucky that I still have the source and could repair it

Is Apple going to offer iTunes Repair !! - You have the records of purchase !!

and a utility to compare the expected stop time and actual play time - over 3000 items in the library

A side effect of iTunes Match - it overwrote the song on another PC with the shortened versions - very helpful indeed

iTunes -version - 12.1.14

PC Windows 7 - updated with latest patches 6.1.7601
