how to make ONLY the menubar bigger

how to make the IOS menubar on the iPhone 6+ bigger ?

Currently, its too hard to read using standard or zoomed mode

Does anybody know of any app that will elegantly display the time in the upper part of the screen, yet leave the home screen icons in place ?

In so many words, its disappointing to have so little control of the clock display on the home screen, way too tiny !
