My phone will not turn on until I plug it into the computer. When do that, it only shows the apple for a few moments and then turns off. it keeps repeating this. what do I do?

Clean the dock connector on the bottom of the phone. Plug it in to the wall adapter for 30 minutes. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Leave it connected to the wall adapter for 4 hours. If it doesn't stay on after that its battery is shot.
