iphone 5 problem

I don't know what's wrong with my iPhone 5. Last night, battery was showing at about 30%, and when i woke up in the morning, it looked battery was dead. So I recharged it, now it's been over 30 minutes, but still no response. It never happened like that before. I need help?

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the apple appears?
