Why does Apple have HDCP? Videos I purchased years ago no longer play!

If there's actually a solution besides a new monitor, please post.

There are solutions to HDCP. However, the answers are usually deleted.

Please search your issue elsewhere on the Internet. HDCP was demanded by the Hollywood cartel (not Apple), primarily to harass their customers.

In future, I strongly recommend that you purchase movies on DVD or Blu-ray. That way, you can watch them anywhere hassle free.

Good luck !
