Can't log in to iMessage or FaceTime on iPad

Unable to log in to iMessage or FaceTime with my Apple ID though I can log in to my Apple account ...

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

I get an error message that says, "Could not sign in. Please check network connection and try again." Nothing wrong with my connection....

Thanks for the info. But I've checked this before and everything seems to be in order. I just reset my password but that didn't help. My ID and password work fine for everything else - and on other devises. Just not for iMessage

Go to Settings>Reset>Reset Network Settings, then set up your network info anew.
