Mac Pro 1,1 2007 will work with PC version of 5870 but drivers do not work in windows 7

So you tried install the drivers when booted to to Windows?

It is ironic that PC version of the card will not work with Windows drivers. 😉 Windows is not known to handle driver re-installations as well as OSX does.

1. What is the version of Windows? 64-bit or 32-bit?

2. Can you use the driver that can be downloaded (in the BC driver bundle) from Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems - Apple Support?

3. AMD (unlike nVidia) does not keep firmware in sync across the same card made for two different OEMs. Have you checked for a compatible driver on AMD website?

If you can, please try the Apple bundle and post back if you run into any issues. The 32-bit drivers should work on w7 64-bit, even though there is no explicit support for 64-bit. Create a System Restore point in Windows, before you update drivers, so you can roll back, if necessary.

Can you post the output of the highlighted command?

Do you have two GPUs - nVidia and AMD? Your screen shows the AMD 5800 series, but you are referencing nVidia 7300gt?
