Iphone 6 white spots

User uploaded fileMy iPhone 6 screen has white glows and blotches all over the screen. It is worst near the top under where the clock is. In the worst area you can see lots of tiny red dots. When the screen is black it is very noticeable but it is harder to see on a white background. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hello JZimmerman24,

If you are still seeing these discolorations on your screen there could be 2 causes for them, either hardware or software. Although hardware is more likely, it is a good idea to rule out software first. To start, quit all the running apps on the phone:

iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

Let me know how that goes.
