I finally upgraded to el capitan and trying to get iPhoto back.
However, which other app can you recommend?

What's your requirement? What's your budget?

I want an easy transfer of my big iPhoto library.

I want to organize photos just like iPhoto. And some simple brightness/black und white filter ect.
Keep raw-photos in original size would be good aswell.

I have the library on an external drive. And need to keep it that way, because it is too big.

Most important is the easy transfer of the library. I am very nervous about losing photos.

Budget? Tell me. 100 EU?

There are only two options and that because you want to easily transfer your Library to the new app

1. Photos. It's seamless. Does everything you want but has minor differences.

2. Lightroom. Does everything you want but no integration with the OS really. Much more powerful than either iPhoto or Photos. Bigger learning curve.
