Rattling noise from CD Rom area

I have an iMac Desktop (21.5-inch, Mid 2011), a year ago it started making an intermittent rattling noise, it appears it comes from the cd-rom area, now is turn into a continuous noise, theres no CD Rom inserted,any ideas?, thanks in advance😕
