iMovie won't let me share my movie on youtube.

I routinely record music on Garageband and then make a little iMovie video to accompany it, uploading the whole package on youtube to share. This has always worked for me without fail. Upon trying to do the same this time, iMovie tells me over and over that the upload failed because the request "timed out". Any ideas as to what to do?
