iPod touch won't sync, help please

Hi, I would like some help please,

32gb 2nd generation iPod touch with IOS 5.1.1 software.

I have reformatted my iPod touch and am now getting an error message saying

"can not be synced you do not have enough access privileges for this operation"

I backed it up before the reformatting, then tried to up date it. I have used the iPod on this Mac in the past, but it is not the original computer I set the iPod up on. I have never reformatted on this Mac before.

I can download music form the iPod that I have already purchased but I can't transfer any from my library.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you may have a permissions issue with your iTunes library and/or iTunes media folder. Let’s follow the steps in this resource in an attempt to resolve this issue:
