G5 Super Drive, gone ?...
Hi,
This is the second time that I participate in this fantastic way of sharing and merit to that help users like me.
After some time without use, when I plugged my old PowerMac G5 to format the hard drive to the player drawer opened, insert the dvd “Software Install and Restore "G5" but the information was “Unidentified Disk" or something.
The second attempt, failed to open the drawer. I managed to remove the disc sticking a clip into the hole on the recorder itself.
From there, no longer worked. Did the boot option "Target Disc Mode" and formated the HD through my iMac.
Managed to install 10.5.8 but no longer appears to mention Super Drive.
I don't know if I'm going to have to make the writer's funeral.
Thanks
Carlos G
