Firstly, it's not a bit of good adding the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag to the new feed - obviously iTunes cannot see that. You have to add it to the original feed.
However, your original feed is no longer at that URL. I tried accessing your new feed several times: on one occasion I was able to read it but on the others I got 'The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.'. Subscribing to it in iTunes brings it up empty. Feedvalidator says 'Not a gzipped file (Server response declares Content-Encoding: gzip; misconfigured server?)' which leads me to suspect that though the file itself is probably OK, your server is serving it as if it were a gzipped file and thus confusing anything which tries to connect to it.
That problem will have to be sorted out with the people running your server. As to the redirection, this page explains in detail how to do it, and what to do if you can no longer access the original feed:

There may be an error in the coding for the new feed - even when I can access it, and see the coding, Firefox shows it as empty, so this may be down to the above problem or it may be a further error. I can't see any obvious problem such as a stray ampersand, but it's a very long feed and I can't plough through it in detail. Once the server is behaving itself the feed can be checked at http://feedvalidator.org
