iTunes Does Not Recognize My iPhone for Sync. Why?

Since upgrading iTunes to 12.1.1.4 it does not recognize my iPhone to sync. It does recognize my iPad Mini, but not my phone. This is VERY ANNOYING since I like to have my contact, notes, calendar, etc. synced. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your iPhone is not being recognized by your computer after updating iTunes, but your iPad is syncing normally. This does sound like an annoying situation.


Since your iPad can sync, I recommend starting with the iOS specific troublshooting steps found in one of these articles (such as restarting your device, checking USB connections, etc):
